About Copperstone Dental

Sixteen people, two dentists, one building on Leslie Way.

Whether you need a routine cleaning or something more involved like a crown or a bridge, the same practice handles it start to finish. Copperstone Dental is a family dental practice dedicated to exceptional dental care from the first phone call to the last checkup, and the team here is built to see every age, from a toddler’s first visit through a parent’s implant. If you are new to the practice, new patients has what the first appointment covers.

Dr. Matthew Tuft and Dr. Hunter Brittain

Dr. Matthew Tuft, DDS has practiced dentistry in the Treasure Valley for over seven years since graduating Creighton School of Dentistry in 2007, and puts more than fifty hours a year into continuing education. He is a member of the Southwest Idaho Dental Association, the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and the ADA, and he has completed the White Cap Institute Implant Residency Program, which is why he is the one placing implants and administering BOTOX at this practice. He is also trained in dermal fillers, oral sedation, and sleep apnea treatment. Away from the office he spends time with his family, gets outdoors, and plays the trombone.

Dr. Hunter Brittain, DDS is originally from Washington State and did his undergraduate work at Utah Valley University before graduating the University of North Carolina Dental School in 2024. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency covering endodontics, complex restorative and prosthetic work, IV sedation, dental surgery, and implantology, which rounds out what the two dentists can handle between them without sending a patient across town.

Front office

These are the four people you will most likely talk to before you ever sit in a chair. Jolene, the office manager, joined in August 2020 after twenty five years in dentistry and has called Meridian home for twenty years. Krissy handles front office and marketing, joined in May 2020, and started her career as a dental assistant fifteen years ago. Melissa, the insurance coordinator, moved to the Treasure Valley from Mountain Home, Arkansas over twenty years ago and has sixteen years of dentistry experience, which is who to ask about financing and insurance. LeAna, the patient care coordinator, joined in February 2024, originally from Fallon, Nevada, and has lived in Middleton since 2021.

Dental assistants

Sophia is the lead dental assistant, with the team since October 2014 and sixteen years in the field. Courtneyis a dental assistant and marketing coordinator who has been here since 2018 and graduated top of her class from College of Western Idaho’s Dental Assisting Program in 2009. Celestehas worked as a dental assistant since 2008 and joined Copperstone in 2023. She is the one who runs the 3D printing and fabrication behind the practice’s custom night guards. Jessica graduated Western Career College in Sacramento in 2007 and moved to Boise in 2013. Kylie joined in 2022 after moving to Idaho from Arizona in 2017, and Gracen, who joined in 2024, plans to go back to school for dental hygiene.

Dental hygienists

Fabi has been cleaning teeth here since 2018, with an Associate of Science from Boise State and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University earned in 2015. Linh joined in the spring of 2013 and has practiced dental hygiene since 1997, having grown up right here in the Treasure Valley. There is a second Courtney on the hygiene side, an Idaho native with twenty five years in the dental field and a dental hygiene degree since 2005. Kellie, a Boise native, spent eight years as an orthodontic assistant before hygiene school at Carrington in Boise and has been a hygienist since 2017. Karen joined in 2018 after fourteen years working alongside her own dentist father before he retired, and graduated Ricks College and then Idaho State University in 2002.

And then there is Olga, who has been part of this practice since 2005, before it was even called Copperstone Dental, and has worked alongside Dr. Tuft since 2009. She became a licensed dental hygienist in 2016 and rejoined the team in the fall of 2024. Olga speaks Ukrainian, and more than one patient has mentioned what a difference it makes to have her in the building. One recent Google review put it simply: a visit to the clinic is more comfortable knowing Olga can step in and translate for a patient whose English is not fluent.

A team that spends time together outside the building too

Most of these sixteen people have been at Copperstone for years, not months, and it shows in how the office runs together, from a fall hike to a holiday photo in matching sweaters right out front of the building.
