From there, digital impressions replace the old putty-tray mold, and those scans go into building a custom set of ClearCorrect aligners made specifically for your teeth.
ClearCorrect is a clear-aligner brand, the same category as the more heavily marketed names, worn in a series that gradually shifts teeth into position rather than using wires and brackets.

20 to 22 hours a day is the whole deal
The aligners only move teeth while they're actually in your mouth, which is why the guidance is 20 to 22 hours a day, out only to eat and to brush and floss. That's not a soft suggestion. It's the mechanism the whole treatment depends on, and it's worth being honest about before starting rather than after falling behind.
Each set is worn for 1 to 2 weeks before moving to the next one in the series, so the pace of the whole treatment tracks pretty directly with how consistently the aligners are actually worn.
Chapter 03
Retainers are not optional afterwards
Once the last set of aligners has done its job, retainers take over to hold the teeth in their new position. Teeth that have just been moved will drift back without something holding them in place, so the retainer isn't a formality tacked onto the end, it's what keeps the result you just finished paying for.
